Context is realised by language.
Registers are types of language (that realise types of context).
The context-language relation is value-token.
The register-language relation is carrier-attribute.

maybe my brain is off today, but i can’t help thinking that it would be the
language-register relation which would be carrier-attribute.
for the last line in the above post, i’m lead to think that language is actually an attribute of register… i’m just trying to get my head round this, and, since most of my brain is entirely mutable, i think i just about believe this to be the case….

Yes. That’s the reading.
Language (as system) is Attribute. Registers (of language) are Carrier.
